How to change flight with American Airlines

If a passenger wants to change the flight and make it for the same day departure, the customer support can be contacted. A fee is applied to the changes. The departure of the new flight should be within one to 12 hours of call timing.

If the passenger is already at the airport, changes can be made by themselves by using the self-service kiosk.

The representative of American Airlines can be contacted at the airport counter and they will give a list of next flights within 12 hours of time.

In case of flights leaving any other day, the passenger needs to click on ‘My Reservations’ section on the official website of American airlines.

The passenger needs to change the flight by signing-in to American airlines and access the ticket by using the reference code and last name.

If the option of change flights is disabled and the passenger wants to make the changes, the customer support can be asked for help regarding the online changes.

When a new screen is prompted asking for the new flight, the user should select the replacement file and then click on Continue.

Then finally the changes are confirmed, and if any change fee is applicable, payment should be made for the future inconvenience.
