What is Cathay Pacific Infant Policy? 

There are a few policies to remember while booking your travel with an infant. 

• Infants between 7 days and up to 24 months are allowed to travel with or without a booked seat. 
• An infant must be under 24 months old throughout the whole journey. 
• If the infant turns two years old before the return trip, you must pay the applicable child fare, taxes, fees, and charges. 
• If you travel with more than one infant, each parent can bring two infants on board.
• All the items required on board, such as infant car safety seats, instant food, bassinet, or safety devices, will not be provided by the airline. 
• The infant’s birth certificate and passport are required at the airport for verification. 
• Do not forget to pack all the essential items, such as diapers, wipes, snacks, toys, etc. 
• Encourage your infant to drink some fluid or suck on a pacifier to ease the ear pain during take-off and landing. 

How to book Infant ticket on Cathay Pacific?

There are two options to travel with an infant on board with Cathay Pacific. With a seat and without. If you are willing to book your seat and add an infant for free, follow the step guide given below. 

• Visit Cathay Pacific’s official website on your device. 
• On the home page, tap on the booking option. 
• Enter details such as destinations, dates, passengers, etc. 
• Follow the instructions on your screen and select a desired seat. 
• Enter personal details and confirm the flight by paying for it online. 

Passengers can also book a separate seat for their infant, but that can only be done by calling the airline’s customer service number at 1 (833) 933-2244. 

What is the baggage allowance for infants on Cathay Pacific?

When you travel with an infant not occupying a seat, you are usually allowed one piece of free check-in baggage, regardless of your travel class. However, the weight allowance and the maximum number of pieces of luggage may vary depending on the type of ticket you have purchased. 

As per the cabin luggage allowance, each passenger can carry only one piece up to 7kg weight that may contain your child’s items. 

How much luggage is allowed for infants on Cathay Pacific?

If your infant is traveling with a booked seat on Cathay Pacific, they are allowed check-in baggage or cabin luggage, as mentioned on the ticket. For an infant who is not occupying a seat, parents get to carry one extra luggage in all classes or fare types.
